Earlier this year, we mentioned that LG would soon be unleashing 3D products on the consumer electronics world. LG says they are now ready (so are we!). First up is the BX580 Blu-ray Player.
Of course, the big hook on this $349.99 Blu-ray player is that it features Blu-ray 3D playback, in case that matters to you. Of course, you will also need a 3D TV as well as some Blu-ray 3D Discs which are still a little hard to come by..
If you haven't made the leap on those just yet, this player should also make an excellent 2D player for Blu-ray Discs and more. Aside from doing regular Blu-rays, the BX580 also includes NetCast. This is LG's online content streaming service, which includes instant access to Netflix, CinemaNow, VUDU, YouTube, MLB.TV, Pandora, and more. It should be pretty easy to access those as well, since the BX580 has built-in Wi-Fi support.
Other features include DLNA capabilities for playback of media from the home network and Express Reaction Startup. The BX580 is available now.
