Sharp Ships New Blu-ray 3D Players (BD-HP75U, BD-HP35U, BD-HP25U)

March may go in like a lion, but it's coming out with three new Sharp Blu-ray 3D players. The company just announced that they have started shipping three new models, the BD-HP75U, BD-HP35U and BD-HP25U.

All three players first debuted at January's Consumer Electronics Show. Each one boasts a full HD 1080p/24 fps video output, standard Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D playback (a 3D TV and glasses are required for 3D playback), and wireless connectivity. (BD-HP25U users will need to add in the VR-WL25 dongle to go wireless.)

That web access will come in handy, since all of the new players can also provide on-demand content via web services such as Netflix, VUDU, Pandora and YouTube. So even if you don't have a huge Blu-ray or Blu-ray 3D collection, you can still have thousands of titles right at your fingertips, many in HD and some in 3D.

If you want to tap into some of your existing content, each player is also compatible with CDs, DVDs and files stored on USB drives, as well as AVCHD, DiVX Plus HD, JPEG and MP3 files. The three players can also stream video content from any DLNA-enabled devices throughout your home.

Of course, the models also feature processing for the latest surround surround formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Other features include two USB ports and support for Sharp's own AQUOS Link and AQUOS Pure Mode. The BD-HP75U and BD-HP35U also feature IP control, with the flagship BD-HP75U adding in a home theater control via an RS-232 port.

The BD-HP25U (MSRP $249.99) and BD-HP35U ($299.99) are available now. The BD-HP75U (MSRP $329.99) will start shipping on March 14, 2011.
