We're just hours away from the big show. Black Friday 2012 is right around the corner, people. However, instead of rushing out to the stores in your Thanksgiving pants with pie in hand, you can kick back and score all sorts of good deals on electronics - HDTVs, tablets, receivers, speakers and more online.
Some of these are even available for purchase right now. We know because we've spent a lot of time scouring through the websites and deals that have been leaked so far.

The key is to start the shopping process by knowing where to look for the best deals. Or, you can just take a peek at our list below. We've compiled a roundup of what sorts of deals you can expect from some of our favorite online outlets, as well as when you can expect them. And if deals are already floating around, we've given you a little sample. Let's get psyched, people!
Just remember that all deals start Friday, November 23rd unless otherwise noted.
Abt
Abt doesn't believe in restricting savings to just one day. All week, the company has been hosting deals on HDTVs, soundbars and even appliances. However, it looks like a lot of the current deals will end on Thanksgiving night. That said, Abt doesn't plan to pack it up and take a long weekend. Instead, the retailer is planning to launch approximately 600 different Black Friday specials on Thanksgiving at midnight. Here's a sneak peek of what to expect:
Amazon
Amazon launched Black Friday Week a few days ago, and we're expecting the sales to go right through Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and even Cyber Monday. The website has leaked some of its planned discounts, but there's a catch. Amazon hasn't told us when most of these deals will actually go live. So in other words, you're going to have to keep checking back on the site to see when items will go on sale. However, it may be worth the extra effort. Here are a few of the deals that we know are coming this week:
B&H Photo
As far as we know, B&H has yet to announce any of its Black Friday audio/video deals. Maybe they're too busy thinking about Thanksgiving -- and we're not talking about who will be carving the turkey. The company's NYC SuperStore will actually be open on Thanksgiving Day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (EST) Maybe once the smoke and cranberries clear, they'll have something to announce. Check back on the store's website to see if there will be any Black Friday deals to be had.
Best Buy
Some of your friends (and foes) have already started lining up at the local Best Buy. However, you can reap many of those Black Friday benefits right from the comfort of your couch. Sure, Best Buy will have a few doorbuster specials. However, are they worth getting trampled over? Check out some of deals we're expecting to kick off around midnight on Thanksgiving night:
J&R
J&R is planning to discount over 700 different items, starting on Black Friday. If those discounts aren't enough, trying using the coupon code TURKEY10 during your checkout. That will save you $10 off a $75 purchase. (Just know that some restrictions do apply.) As far as what will be on sale, it's too much to list here. We've seen a sneak peek with accessories, computers and other items. Check back on JR.com to see what the audio/video goodies will be, but here's one worth checking out:
OneCall
OneCall just couldn't wait for the big day, so the online retailer has already kicked off all of its Black Friday sales. There's no word on whether or not they plan to add more offers between now and Cyber Monday. However, there are plenty of receivers, Blu-ray players, HDTVs, and other audio and video goodies to keep you plenty busy -- and buying up a storm!
Panasonic
Panasonic isn't a store, per se, but they do make some of the highest performance HDTVs on the planet. In fact, Panasonic is the reference display of many of our own writers here at Big Picture Big Sound (including yours truly). This year, they've expanded from being heavy on the plasma side to offering both plasma and LED/LCD HDTVs -- and many of them will be on sale this Friday on Panasonic's own online store. Last year, Panasonic had some pretty amazing Black Friday HDTV deals go live late on Thanksgiving Day. We don't have details on what models they'll be offering this year, but we'd recommend stopping by the Panasonic website just before midnight on Thursday night and checking it out. Here's the link to Panasonic's Black Friday deals page:
Samsung
Samsung is another manufacturer looking to set the standard for the holiday season -- or at least set some of the sale prices. The company recently slashed prices on a slew of LED and plasma HDTVs. The discounted models range in size (39 to 65 inches) and features. However, you won't have to scour the web on Black Friday to see which retailer is selling these sets at a discount. We already found some of the sale prices live right now on Amazon:
TigerDirect
TigerDirect is known for having some pretty great deals. This Black Friday will certainly be no different. However, the online retailer has sworn us to secrecy on what they have planned. Just know that there should be enough discounts on HDTVs to make your head spin. Expect discounts on HDTVs, Blu-ray players, headphones, computers, accessories, and other components. Oops! We've probably said too much already. Just stay close to the TigerDirect website during the sale times. Black Friday bargains will go live at 12:01 a.m. (EST) on November 23, with Cyber Monday starting at 12:01 a.m. on November 26, 2012.
Vanns
This online retailer is also planning a bit of a super-secret Black Friday sale. According to Vanns, you won't be able to find deals by just randomly clicking on the website. Instead, they are limiting the fanfare to the link listed below. Now, the retailer is promising plenty of goodies -- but the deals won't go live until midnight on Black Friday. After that, make sure to check back at 8:00 a.m., since the site will be updated with new offers.
Walmart
Walmart is looking to kick off sales before Thanksgiving digestion sets in. However, according to the mega-retailer's website, the online details won't be available until Black Friday officially begins. It may be worth the wait, since Walmart is notoriously packed (and scary!) on the busiest shopping day of the year. Also, they seem to have plenty of discounts planned for everyone. Many haven't been posted yet, so you'll need to check back.
