Chris Hemsmorth reprises his role as Thor, the Mighty Avenger and son of Odin, god of thunder (Anthony Hopkins). This time, Thor is battling a shadowy evil so terrible that he enlists the help of his ne'er-do-well brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who caused a bit of trouble for the world in his prior appearances, both in "Thor" and "The Avengers." Natalie Portman also returns as Thor's human love interest, scientist Jane Foster.
