Soundmatters is hoping to slide one more option into the mix, but you're barely going to notice it -- well, when it's in your bag, anyway. That's because the new DASH7 Bluetooth Speaker weighs a mere 7.1 ounces and meaures 0.75-inches thin.
If you're rocking out, however, it's a whole different story. The DASH7 includes the company's fifth-generation Twoofer (tweeters that also woof) and BassBattery, which promises deep bass and up to 12 hours of battery life. It also has an angled stand for omnidirectional sound, all from this super-slim device.
Of course, that size certainly does matter when you travel. Soundmatters says that the DASH7 is 40 percent smaller than the foxLv2 Bluetooth Speaker, which made its debut at the end of last year. And because it has built-in Bluetooth, it can work with smartphones, tablets, laptops and other compatible devices. No additional cords or chargers are needed.
Other features on the DASH7 include noise-cancelling speakerphone options for making and taking calls and a sub output for adding in the foxLO travel-size subwoofer.
Available in vibrant red, arctic white and midnight black, the DASH7 Bluetooth Speaker comes with a case that doubles as a stand, as well as an international USB charger kit. It's shipping now with an MSRP of $249.
