Soundmatters Foxlv2 Ultra-Portable Powered Speaker On Sale for $149 For the Holidays

By Enid Burns

This season you might not have chestnuts roasting on an open fire, but for anyone with a Kindle Fire, you might want better speakers to listen to Christmas carols or watch movies. The speakers on the Amazon.com tablet don't match up to the picture.  The same could be said for a number of tablets and portable media players.  But the Soundmatters foxLv2 makes a nice companion to fill in the sound for your portable listening pleasure and the price has been reduced to $149 for the holidays.  Here's a link:

The foxLV2 is a pocket-sized loudspeaker system with a claimed output all the way down to 80Hz and up to 20 KHz, though the manufacturer doesn't rate the measurement range.  Whatever the rating, the foxlv2 has been garnering some high praise from reviewers aroudn the globe. This "little speaker that could" is available for a Cyber Monday price of $149 on Amazon.com. List price on the Soundmatters foxLv2 is marked at $199, though it typically sells for $169 online. The special price will be available from November 28 to December 31.

Battery life on the Soundmatters foxLv2 is rated at 12-hours or more, which exceeds the playback life of the Kindle Fire or any other tablet for that matter when watching video. The speaker connects to any music source via a standard 1/8" audio cable (mini headphone jack), making it a perfect companion for the Kindle fire as well as any other tablet or portable. With an output for a powered subwoofer, you can even add to the bass quality of any audio material.

Charging and powering the foxLv2 is easy. The device comes with a lithium-ion BassBattery re-chargeable battery and USB and wall charger. It also comes with a universal power travel adapter kit with included plugs for U.S./Japan, Europe/China, U.K./Hong Kong and Australia.

Soundmatters products are the creation of former NASA engineer Dr. Godehard Guenther. Now working in the private sector, he focuses his engineering efforts on audio products including the foxLv2 portable, powered loudspeaker.
