TCL has jumped the gun on Black Friday TV deals putting its massive 98-inch "Q Class" TV on sale now. Forget the $3999 launch price, the $1999 previous sale price or even the $1799 Prime Day deal. Amazon now has TCL's 98-inch Q651G 4K TV on sale for $1599 with free shipping. This is the lowest price we've seen on this or any 98-inch TV and we don't expect it will get any lower on Black Friday.

The Q651G model is new for 2024 and features Quantum Dot color technology to provide rich color saturation and wide color gamut reproduction. It includes a standard LED backlight (no local dimming) so it is not going to compete with OLED or MiniLED TVs for the ultimate black levels and contrast, However, it is capable of bright whites and vibrant colors. Did we mention it's a whopping 98 inches diagonal? That's roughly four times the size of a 50-inch TV. It will make you feel like you're IN the big game, not just watching it.
The Q65 set uses TCL's AiPQ Processing to improve picture performance from all types of sources including cable TV, premium streaming services and even compressed YouTube content. The AiPQ processor includes AI Color, AI Contrast, AI Clarity, and AI Motion processing for high performance in virtually all picture categories.
The Q651G TV offers 4K resolution, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG high dynamic range as well as Dolby Atmos decoding for cinematic picture and sound. The Q651G also has Google Assistant built-in so you can ask it fascinating questions about life, the universe and everything (or maybe just "Hey, Google, what's the weather?" or "Which Ryan Reynolds movies are available to stream right now?"). The Q65 set is also "Works with Alexa" certified in case you've got an Amazon-based smart home. The TV is based on the Google TV platform so you'll find all the major (and minor) music and video streaming apps on board.
While 4K HDR content from Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc and high quality streaming sources look fantastic on this extra large screen, the TV also does a good job upconverting standard definition and high definition content to 4K resolution so you'll have oodles of picture detail, even from your old DVDs and Blu-ray Discs.
Note: TCL could not tell us how long this deal will last, but we expect it will end when available inventory runs out. Also, with the impending threat of tariffs on Chinese imports next year, it is entirely possible that 2024 will be the last year of these giant discounts on giant TVs.
