OLED TVs continue to dominate the high-end display market. With their inky deep black levels, rich color saturation and smooth motion reproduction, a good OLED TV is hard to beat for picture quality. Until recently, LG was the only game in town with OLED. Samsung briefly sold an OLED model in 2013, but then exited the market to concentrate on LED/LCD TVs. Sony began releasing OLED TVs a few years ago, but the panels inside those were (and are) actually built by LG Display.
This year Samsung is back in the OLED game with a vengeance. They've developed a method of panel manufacturing that combines the black level and contrast advantages of an OLED panel with the color accuracy and saturation advantages of Quantum Dots (QD). This new QD OLED technology is making waves in the TV market, with Samsung earning praise and awards for its new QD-OLED TVs.
When they were first introduced, Samsung's QD-OLED TVs were a bit more expensive than competitive models from LG, but now as part of Amazon's Prime Early Access event, you can pick up a 65-inch Samsung DQ-OLED TV for under $1,900 (that's $1,100 below list price), and if you pay for the TV using an Amazon credit card, you can get an additional $190 cash back, bringing the net price down to about $1708. Shipping is included in the price. Sales tax may be applied depending where you live.

An excellent choice for watching movies and TV shows, the Samsung S95B is also great for gaming with an input lag as low as 5.4 ms and support for 4K content at 120 Hz. I saw the Samsung S95B QD OLED in the flesh at the 2022 TV Shootout with a wide variety of test patterns and movie clips and I was extremely impressed. But don't take my word for it. The TV also earned glowing recommendations from RTINGS and Tech Radar (among others).
The set lacks Dolby Vision HDR support but it does support HLG, HDR10 and HDR10+. It also includes Dolby Atmos support for immersive surround sound with compatible soundbar or speakers. It even includes an ATSC 3.0 tuner so you can tune in 4K content for free if ATSC 3.0 broadcasts are available in your area.
We're not sure how long the price and the cash-back offer will last but it's in stock and available now (Verified October 31).
