Adding 3D TV viewing into your entertainment setup is certainly an investment. Thankfully, you don't have to drain your bank account to get a complete system installed. There are a few manufacturers out there that want to take some of the sting out, by offering bundle packages with certain select 3D purchases. These bundles typically offer some type of discount, cash back, free gear and/or free movies on Blu-ray 3D Disc to sweeten the pot.
In the past, we've seen a lot of different deals come and go. The good news is that there are usually multiple 3D bundles being offered at any given time. It can be a little confusing, so we've scoured the web to find some of the best 3D bundles out there right now (as of March, 2011).
Samsung
Samsung just announced dibs on the Blu-ray 3D for Megamind, and OneCall is already offering it as part of a bundle package. If you buy one of six select Samsung 3D TVs, you'll get Samsung's new 3D Starter Kit, which includes two pairs of 3D glasses, the first three Shrek films on Blu-ray 3D, and mail-in coupons for Blu-ray 3D discs of Shrek Forever After and Megamind. Toshiba
Amazon is currently offering two free pairs of 3D glasses with the purchase of Toshiba's 55-inch 55WX800 3D LED HDTV. Even better, they are offering that package at a super-low price (under $1600) and with free shipping. Our own Greg Robinson recently tested out this TV. Check out his full review of Toshiba's 55WX800 LED HDTV, but do it quick. This offer is good through April 3, 2011 or until supplies last. If you're willing to go slightly smaller, you can score one extra little freebie. When you buy Toshiba's 46-inch 46WX800 LED 3D TV, Amazon will throw in two pairs of the 3D glasses, as well as Toshiba's BDX3000 Blu-ray 3D player. That makes for a nice 3D experience right out of the box! Greg got a hold of this player as well calling it "a terrific player" and "a tremendous value." Sony
OneCall has the Sony goodies, offering the Sony 3D Starter Kit with the purchase of one of three different LED 3D TVs. There are 46- and 52-inch sizes from the HX909 Series, and a 60-incher from the NX810 Series. All three boast the 1080p image, a 240Hz refresh rate, and BRAVIA Internet Video access. The HX909 models add in Intelligent Dynamic LED backlight, while the KDL-60NX810 throws in built-in Wi-Fi. That kit includes one pair of 3D glasses, Sony's 3D Sync Transmitter, an HDMI cable, and a Blu-ray 3D of Alice in Wonderland. This offer is good through May 7 2011. Panasonic
New TVs tingle all of our senses. However, we know that some of you already have a 3D-capable TV. The next logical step for your system is a Blu-ray 3D player. Panasonic is making that move very enticing, by throwing in a Blu-ray 3D copy of Avatar with select purchases. The rebate form lists the qualifying models as the DMP-BDT310, DMP-BDT215, DMP-BDT210, DMP-BDT110, and DMP-BDT115 Blu-ray 3D players, as well as the SC-BTT770, SC-BTT370, SC-BTT270, SC-BTT268 and SC-BTT273 Blu-ray 3D home theater systems. Once the 2011 3D TVs start shipping, this deal may change to include the TVs as eleigible purchase as well. However, Amazon is currently selling three of the players and three of the Blu-ray 3D home theater systems that are eligible for this deal, with the offer listed through February 29, 2012.
