Are you ready to rock? It may be a teensy bit harder to do that when you're on the go. However, Kicker Performance Audio just introduced a trio of portable audio products, each of which uses the power of Bluetooth to deliver good sound almost anywhere.
Because each model has Bluetooth, it's easy to pair all three options with your smartphone, tablet or laptop computer. No messy wires or complicated installations are needed.
The first option is the KPM50 Bluetooth Speaker, which is specifically designed for in-home use. It measures a mere 7.6-by-3.4-by-3.4 inches, so it's easy to take from the kitchen to the deck to the bedroom. Besides NFC one-touch Bluetooth pairing, the KPM50 has two 2-inch drivers, dual balanced bass radiators, and speakerphone capabilities. It even comes with its own travel case, a 5V/1A charger, a 3.5mm stereo cable, and a USB charging cable.
If you want to take the action (or at least the music) outside, the KPw2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker is both water- and dust-resistant. Modeled after the company's KPw, this new speaker works with Bluetooth, but can actually charge your phone or tablet when it's tethered. Although it's about the size of a water bottle, it packs in dual drivers, passive radiators, and easy-to-use controls tucked into a rubber panel. Other features include a better volume control via rubber membrane buttons, new track forward and track back transport controls, a new design for reduced vibration, and a rechargeable battery for up to 10 hours of playtime.
The last new Kicker product is the most compact. The EB300 Bluetooth Ear Buds are made for active music fans, because this model is both sweat- and water-resistant. Kicker says these have also been tested to stay in place, no matter what type of exercise you're doing. It also has a built-in microphone and comes with three silicon tips for a perfect fit, as well as noise isolation.
Kicker Performance Audio will start selling all three of the above options sometime this November. Available in black and silver, the KPM50 has an MSRP of $229. Available in black with yellow highlights and white with black highlights, the KPw2 is listed with a price of $199.99. The EB300 Bluetooth earphone will be available around the same time for $99.
