In preparation for the next chapter in the Indiana Jones saga coming to theaters this summer, Paramount Home Entertainment just announced that the first four films in the series have undergone a complete 4K restoration and will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray on June 6, 2023. You can relive the scruffy archaeologist's adventures before the new film, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" hits theaters on June 30.
"Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" will be available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc individually with Dolby Vision and HDR-10 high dynamic range. Each film has been remastered from 4K scans of the original negatives with extensive work done to ensure the most pristine and highest quality image. All picture restoration work was approved by director Steven Spielberg. In addition, all four films were remixed at Skywalker Sound from the original master tapes to create fully immersive Dolby Atmos soundtracks.
Each package features artwork inspired by the original theatrical posters. A digital copy (digital code) is included with each film.
The film that started it all, "Raiders of the Lost Ark" will also return to select theaters in a limited engagement theatrical run from June 4 to June 7, 2023. Tickets for this special engagement presented by Fathom Events and Paramount Pictures can be purchased at www.fathomevents.com or at participating theater box offices.
