With the Kindle Fire now shipping, content providers should be clamoring to release content for Amazon's latest (and maybe greatest) tablet. Hulu Plus is pushing to the front of the pack, announcing service availability for the newly launched device.
Starting today, Hulu Plus subscribers can now receive a steady stream of TV shows on the Kindle Fire. Just download the free Hulu Plus app from the Amazon Appstore for Android on Kindle Fire, and you can access the service via Wi-Fi.
That means you'll be able to stream recent episodes of Modern Family, Family Guy, Saturday Night Live, New Girl, Glee, and much more. Also, there are plenty of previous seasons and now-cancelled shows to catch up on. Check out Lost, Arrested Development, The X-Files, and tons of other cult classics.
In case you didn't know, Hulu Plus also has movies. Don't expect any newer releases, but under the Most Popular section, we did find Chasing Amy, Swingers, Super Size Me, and much more.
Amazon's $199 Kindle Fire features a 7-inch color touchscreen and IPS (in-plane switching) technology for a wide viewing angle -- just like the iPad. Other features include free cloud storage, 8GB of internal storage, and Amazon-specific perks like Silk and Whispersync. Of course, it also put thousands of movies, TV shows, books, magazines, and more right at your fingertips.
