Superman costume worn by Christopher Reeve in Superman 3: $79,999.

Are you looking to spice up your home theater with something a little more exciting than movie posters, art deco sconces and old-fashioned popcorn machines?

How about the actual Superman costume worn by Christopher Reeve in Superman III? Or maybe the trenchcoat and gun sported by Wesley Snipes in Blade II? Or maybe you've always wanted to dress up as a Mangalore from "The Fifth Element" for Halloween in the actual mask and gloves used by the actors in the film?

All this original screen memorabilia can be yours (for a price) from the good people at ScreenUsed.

They probably couldn't have found a better location to introduce their business to the public than the home electronics and home theater expo in Los Angeles, just a hop, skip and jump from Hollywood where many movie moments are made.

Fifth Element Mangalore mask and gloves: $4,299.

Started by two collectors, Desi DosSantos and Jeff Castillo, whose collections of original film memorabilia had grown to an unwieldy size, ScreenUsed has built up relationships with other collectors as well as Hollywood personnel in their 18 combined years of collecting original screen-used props and wardrobe.

Complete policeman's costume from "The Fifth Element:" $14,999.

What drew me into the room was their full size complete outfit of one of the policemen from "The Fifth Element." Loads of fun at parties, or on display guarding the entrance to your home theater, and it can be yours for a mere $14,999. Yes, the price tag of this gear reflects the scarcity of such pieces. And some of the pieces on display (such as the pilot helmet used by Tom Cruise in Top Gun) had no price tag, as they're still part of the private collections of the owners. All pieces come with full "provenance" - certified documentation of the authenticity of each piece and where/how it was used in the movies.

So, If you've got the disposable funds, and are looking for something a little different to put on display, then check out Screen Used. You can always tell your wife (or husband) that it's an "investment" and, considering the uniqueness of these items (many are one or just a few of a kind) and their increasing demand, you'd probably be right.

What did you think?
