Our own Chris Chiarella reviewed the Blu-ray set, albeit in slightly different packaging, and found that it offered exceptional audio and video quality to match the compelling story. The picture quality only improves as the series progresses. The set received 4 out of 4 stars.
The boxed set also features a wealth of extras, including deleted scenes, multiple behind-the-scenes featurettes (the more recent ones in HD), video blogs and a still gallery. A running audio commentary is supplied for several episodes, usually provided by executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick. The discs also include BD-Live and new cutting-edge interactive features, under the "U-Control" banner.
