THIEL Audio will be rocking this year's Rocky Mountain Audio Fest -- literally. The company just announced plans to debut its CS2.7 loudspeaker at the event, which will take place at the Denver Marriott Tech Center from October 12 to 14, 2012.
The company plans to have the CS2.7 in two different suites. The Denver Audio Designs suite (9013) will also have THIEL's SS2.2 SmartSub, all while the speaker is on display in the HEGEL Music Systems press-only suite (8004).
The new CS2.7 features a coincident tweeter/midrange driver, similar to THIEL's flagship CS3.7 loudspeaker. The CS2.7 also uses a short coil/long gap 8-inch woofer coupled to a passive radiator. Other features include a cabinet with bent plywood sidewall technology and internal bracing.
HEGEL is also planning a public suite (8006), which will have the CS3.7 and the THIEL's own Gary Dayton, who will be on hand to answer any questions. THIEL President Kathy Gornik will also be at the RMAF, participating in a seminar entitled "High-end Audio-Regaining the High Ground."
"Our objective at RMAF 2012 is to showcase products from each of our brands with the finest dealers from the region," explained manufacturer's representative Bob Scowcroft. "This is a great show to gain visibility for our product lines, reaching enthusiasts who travel from multiple states to attend this event."
THIEL has started shipping the CS2.7, with an MSRP of $9900 per pair.
