High definition TV loves football, and in September as the season kicks off Sony plans to bring three new 3D-ready LED HDTVs to market. The NX810 line offers edge-lit LED lighting combined with local dimming technology to enhance contrast. Each of the 3D HDTV Bravia sets will come with two free Blu-ray 3D titles and a PlayStation Network voucher to download stereoscopic 3D gaming content for the PlayStation 3.
Each set boasts high contrast ratios with smooth, vibrant colors, maintaining a clear picture even in bright rooms. All three TVs have built-in Wi-Fi and access to Sony's Bravia Internet Platform and Qriocity, Sony's new movie service.
The greatest difference with the new sets is the size. All three feature Full HD 1080p resolution with 3D capabilities; Dynamic Edge LED backlighting with local dimming; Motionflow Pro 240Hz technology for smooth motion; Wi-Fi and Bravia Internet video and widgets; and LightSensor to adjust backlight with room light.
All three sets will be available in September. The 46-inch Bravia KDL-46NX810 Edge LED LCD HDTV with 3D will sell for $3000. The mid-size 55-inch Bravia KDL-55NX820 Edge LED LCD HDTV with 3D retails for $3700. The 60-inch Bravia KDL-60NX810 Edge LED LCD HDTV with 3D is expected to retail for $4700. The retail price comes with bonus extras including two Blu-ray movies and downloadable 3D content for the Sony PlayStation 3.
