Earlier in the week, we got a glimpse at Samsung's 2012 LED HDTV line. Now, Sharp wants to throw its name into the ring -- and its products into your home theater setup. Ending the week on a high note, Sharp has announced that it's now shipping two of the three models from its 6-Series LED line.
The 70-inch LC-70LE640U and 60-inch LC-60LE640U are the two largest in the new line. They're also the ones that are currently shipping, with MSRPs of $2999.99 and $1999.99, respectively. The 52-inch LC-52LE640U will be coming later this month for $1499.99.
All three HDTVs offer the AQUOS LCD Panel, edge-lit LED backlighting, 120Hz Fine Motion Enhanced technology, and a new narrow bezel design. Another nice perk is that each set has built-in WiFi, which allows for easy access to Sharp's own SmartCentral platform.
SmartCentral is a newly designed user interface, with a hub for personalized settings, wallpapers, and popular apps such as Netflix, Facebook, CinemaNow and YouTube. It's also where users can tap into the exclusive on-screen AQUOS Advantage Live feature, which can deliver setup tips, troubleshooting and other customer service features live and right through the TV screen.
Other features on all three include AQUOS Link, four HDMI inputs, and two USB ports.
Even though the 70-inch LC-70LE640U has an MSRP of $2999.99 and the 60-inch LC-60LE640U is priced at $1999.99, we were able to find both sets for about $500 less at Amazon and OneCall. Check out the links listed below for the lowest prices and ordering information.
