After those three things, you may want to think about a Scarface-themed Humidor. Back in March, Universal announced plans to release Scarface on Blu-ray. Truly frothing fans can also snag the Scarface-themed humidor. Both will be available starting September 6, 2011.
The handcrafted Scarface-themed humidor is a limited item, and comes with the Scarface Special Limited Edition Blu-ray. Created by humidor master Daniel Marshall, this item is hand-painted and polished with the Marshall's trademark "1000 coat brilliant finish." It also has medallions that were actually inspired by the movie. The inside features untreated Spanish cedar to condition and age up to 100 cigars, as long as the humidity is just right.
The Scarface Special Limited Edition Blu-ray also includes a set of 10 art cards from the "Scarface Kingpins of Design" fan art contest.
The Scarface Special Limited Edition Blu-ray will feature 2.35:1 video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 channel audio track, pocket BLU and BD Live. U-Control features include picture-in-picture commentary with director Brian De Palma, screenwriter Oliver Stone, and Al Pacino, as well as the "Scarface Scoreboard" to keep track of the movie's F-bombs.
Besides deleted scenes, there are featurettes on the production, the actors, the inspiration and the video game, as well as how the film has influenced culture and filmmaking. Both the Blu-ray and the humidor are now available for preorder on Amazon. According to Universal, there will only be 1000 of these humidors made, so you may want to stake your claim early. Each one will be numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The MSRP on this exclusive is $999, but Amazon's preorder price is only $699.
