By Enid Burns

Momentum behind High Definition 3D TV sets continues to build, and Samsung has four new 3D-enabled HDTV models just arriving in stores. Two 50 inch 3D-ready sets are new to Samsung's offering, but the manufacturer is proud to introduce its 65-inch set, the largest 3D-ready LED HDTV on the market. The four feature-packed sets range in price from $1,099 to $6,000.

Sailing in with its flagship, Samsung unveiled its UN65C8000 which will  set buyers back $5,999.99. The company says the 65-inch set is the largest full HD 3D LED TV retailing for home use. The set is loaded with Samsung's built-in 3D processor; Real 240Hz refresh rate technology; a rated 8,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and proprietary Precision Dimming technology. The UN65C8000 is WiFi-ready and supports Skype via Samsung Apps.

Samsung also introduced its new 680-series plasma sets, which remain affordable though they include 3D and other sought-after features. The PN58C680 (58-inch) and PNC50C680 (50-inch)provide full HD 1080p resolution and 600Hz Subfield Motion to bring crisp, lifelike images and clear motion to the screen; Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio to render deep blacks and brilliant colors; and allows users to share media files stored on PC or other DLNA-compliant devices on the screen via AllShare. The PNC58C680 is listed at $2,299.99 and the PN50C680 is selling at an MSRP of $1,599.99

But the biggest news may have been a new 50-inch plasma model which lists for the lowest price of any of the new 3D models: the PN50C490 will retail for a scant $1,099.99 (with a street price of just under $1000). The 490-series PN50C490 is a 50-inch 3D-capable plasma with 720p resolution. It uses Clear Image Panel technology and 600Hz Subfield Motion technologies to deliver the goods on both 2D and 3D picture quality.

With the four new Plasma and LED sets from Samsung, consumers ready for a new HDTV set can opt for 3D without going over budget.
