Samsung Adds Customer Support App to its HDTV line

By Rachel Cericola

Have a problem with your TV? Usually there's someone you can call. However, at 3:00 a.m., it's a different story -- unless you have one of Samsung's 2010 TVs.

The manufacturer just announced a new app that will put the Samsung Product Support TV (SPSTV) channel right on those new big screens. The offering is part of Samsung Apps, which is an HDTV-based application store.

Download the SPSTV App to any compatible 2010 Samsung TV, and you will be able to stream product support on a variety of topics 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Aside from support for different Samsung products, the selection of videos includes how-to guides, interactive chat sessions, and a live weekly show. Samsung currently has a library of over 150 videos available at your fingertips.

"Samsung is committed to delivering a superior experience to our customers, whether they are taking advantage of the innovative features that our products have to offer, or they are learning how to care for a new electronics purchase," says Joong Chae Ser, Samsung's senior vice president of their Customer Satisfaction Division. "The SPSTV App is another great way for our loyal customers to conveniently access solutions and information they need to best experience their Samsung products."

The SPSTV App is currently available on all Samsung 2010 TVs that include Samsung Apps support. Here are a few compatible TVs to check out (at super-low Amazon pricing):
