Movie fans seem to be on an endless quest to make the at-home viewing experience more like a visit to the local Cineplex. You can add all of the popcorn, candy and trailers that you want, but it's just not going to be like the real thing without a projector and a screen.
However, you don't just want any projector. SIM2 is very well known for the quality of its projectors. In fact, the company has released a slew of projectors that look almost as good as the image each one can project on-screen. Now the company is adding to that lineup, with six new models known as the Grand Cinema Series.
These next generation 3-chip, DLP-based projectors are designed to replicate that big-budget Hollywood experience right in the comfort of your home.
The new models include the Lumis Uno E, the Lumis 3D-PF, the SuperLumis, the SuperLumis Pro, the SuperLumis Duo, and the Fuoriserie. Prices for the new line start at $26,000 for the Lumis Uno E. However, that Fuoriserie is a standout because it's a limited-edition projector that that company been dubbed "ultra-exclusive." Of course, that exclusivity could have a lot to do with its $120,000 MSRP.
All six of the new Grand Cinema models have SIM's own design, three-chip DLP architecture, and a few technological advances. Depending on the model, some additional features may include new connectivity, remote monitoring and control, bright images with up to 10,000 ANSI lumens, and more.
"SIM2's unparalleled success in home cinema now continues with the new Grand Cinema series," says Maurizio Cini, SIM2's president. "These new models also renew our commitment to our dealer partners to provide competitively priced, innovative and powerful projectors that produce exceptional Hollywood picture quality."
SIM2 expects all six models from the Grand Cinema Series to be available by the end of February 2014.
