It's time to add a little blue into your holiday color scheme. The new SIM2 MICO 50 LED projector makes red, green and blue all sparkle together in shimmering high definition brilliance.
MICO is actually Latin for "sparkle," so the name makes perfect sense. The company explained that when they announced that their new single-chip LED-lit DLP projector is now shipping.
SIM2 says that the unit is eco-friendly, promises pure primary colors and stable images -- all thanks to the use of LED. The MICO 50 uses Phlatlight LEDs by Luminus. That technology also means there's no color wheel to deal with. Other features include TI's latest Darkchip4 DLP chipset with 1080p (1920x1080) native resolution and DynamicBlack technology, a Full On-Full Off contrast ratio of 100,000:1, an advanced liquid cooling system to keep things quiet and an estimated 30,000 hours of lamp life.
Getting the unit fired up should take less than 1 millisecond. In other words, you still have time to salivate.
"We are proud to not only show, but deliver on our promise of MICO 50," said Charlie Boornazian, SIM2's VP of Sales and Marketing. "We have claimed a large share of the market over our competitors by being first to market with new technologies. Once again the SIM2 R&D team has provided us with the tools to continue our leadership in the home theater space."
Two lens options are available: T1 (short-throw) and T2 (long-throw), with a total TR range 1.5 - 3.5:1. Both feature motorized zoom and focus control and a price tag of $19,995.
