Runco has certainly been busy this year -- and we're not even out of January. Just a few weeks after the company said it would begin shipping the 3Dimension D-113d Projector, another option is being adding into the mix.
Just announced, the new LS-12d Projector is supposedly the company's most affordable 3D projector yet. At $27,995 (MSRP), it's not exactly cheap. However, it's not exactly cheap, either. Runco is considered one of the top brands money can buy, and this model should be no different.
Besides the three-chip DLP engine, the LS-12d has many of the same features seen in the company's LightStyle projector series. There is also a wide array of lens options available.
Designed for "Flex-Theater" spaces where home theater isn't always the main focus (perish the thought!), the LS-12d boasts a variety of placement options. Of course, it also works great in a dedicated theater room, delivering both 2D and 3D content. According to Runco, the LS-12d ships with three pairs of active-shutter glasses for 3D viewing out of the box. However, if you're partial to passive 3D technology and those lighter glasses, that's an option as well.
If you're still thinking about that initial investment, know that the LS-12d does come with a few freebies. Besides the 3D glasses, the LS-12d also comes packing Runco's Dimension Digital Controller (DC-300). This 2U outboard controller promises to boost 3D performance and offers a full suite of calibration tools. The projector is also backed by a two-year RuncoCare standard warranty, with Runco RedCarpet and PremierCare service plans also available for a little extra.

Runco says that the LightStyle LS-12d will be available starting in April. For a bit of customization, customers can add Runco's FinishPalette, which offers color matching or artwork, team logos and other options to the LS-12d's chassis.
If you don't want to do the entire package, the DC-300 is also available separately for $9,995. Of course, both products will be exclusive to authorized Runco dealers.
