Next time you see a tour van roll into your town, it's not going to be a hair band revival. Instead, Panasonic has announced plans to launch a 15-city tour to promote its latest home entertainment products.
The "Experience Amazing" Tour will allow consumers to get up close and personal with some of Panasonic's 2011 home entertainment lineup, including 3D VIERA HDTVs and VIERA Connect IPTVs. Aside from being able to check out the 3D high definition images, the manufacturer will also be showing off a wide array of new TV apps, including gaming, fitness, live sports, video streaming and much more.
Other products on display will include Panasonic's new line of Blu-ray 3D Disc players, as well as 3D Active Shutter Eyewear, 3D camcorders and LUMIX digital cameras with interchangeable 3D lenses.
There will also be plenty of 3D TV content on hand via DIRECTV and n3D, the 3D channel that's "powered by Panasonic." The display will also include nVIDIA PC-based 3D video gaming.
"We are very excited to get out there and engage consumers across the country with our Experience Amazing Tour," said Shiro Kitajima, President of Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. "Panasonic has so many exciting new, category-leading products to share with consumers from the latest VIERA Full HD 3D TVs and 3D Blu-ray Disc Home Theater systems to our vastly expanded VIERA Connect IPTV features and line of 3D digital cameras and camcorders. We created this tour to let consumers get hands-on with our 2011 products and experience for themselves how amazing and easy-to-use the world of home entertainment has become."
The tour will begin on April 4 at New York City's Grand Central Terminal. Other stops include Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, DC. You can find the full tour schedule here.
The "Experience Amazing" Tour will last for a total of six weeks. Stop by and you can also enter for a chance to win a full 3D home entertainment system, including a Panasonic VIERA 3D plasma TV, a 3D Blu-ray home theater in a box, and a 3D camcorder. Check the tour's website for a full list of dates, venues and times.
