Panasonic had plenty to say about its 2013 lineup earlier this year at CES. However, the company did leave out a few details about a lot of the new products -- most notably prices and availability. Now, Panasonic is getting the line ready and detailing its 2013 home theater lineup.
All four of Panasonic's 2013 Home Theater Systems will start shipping this month. Panasonic has designed each system to be paired with a TV between 42 and 65 inches. Add that screen and you'll be ready to rock movies, sports, and even the daily news.
The SC-HTB70 and SC-HTB65 are the line's entry-level models, featuring one soundbar for each package. The SC-HTB65 works on the wall or a TV-sized stand and can be rotated up to 90 degrees. The SC-HTB70, on the other hand, offers four-way, multi-angle positional placement. That basically means that users can position the speakers for the best sound possible, whether it's on a top shelf or in the middle. A built-in sensor recognizes how the speaker is positioned and adjusts itself accordingly. The SC-HTB70 also sets itself apart by including an Anti-Vibration Integrated Subwoofer right inside the speaker cabinet.
Panasonic has priced the SC-HTB65 at $179.99, with the SC-HTB70 coming in at $199.99.
The two top models are the SC-HTB770 and the SC-HTB370, which are priced at $399.99 and $299.99, respectively. The SC-HTB770 will be available in black and silver, with the SC-HTB370 sporting a stainless mesh design. Both models can be placed horizontally on a stand or wall-mounted. Even better, you can opt for the soundbar look or detach the system to create two separate freestanding vertical speakers.
The SC-HTB370 is a 240-watt, 2.1-channel system, with a wireless subwoofer and Bluetooth support. The SC-HTB770 also has the wireless sub and the Blueooth. However, this 3.1-channel can crank 300 watts, with Clear Mode Dialog and three HDMI inputs rounding out the package.
