Japanese electronics manufacturer Panasonic has had a rough year. An earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster can do that to a country, and to a company. And to top it off, this year's lagging economy has left HDTV sales flat (at best). The result? We spot-checked a few HDTV models and they're all at least $50 to $100 or more below the current discounted prices from Amazon and Best Buy. Their 50 inch X3 series plasma (TC-P50X3) is only $529.95 ($599 on Amazon). And the 42-inch 3D-capable 1080p ST30 series TV (TC-P42ST30) is only $534.96 ($699.99 on Amazon). That's more than 50% off the list price!
