To that end, Monster has now introduced the "pure audio adrenaline " of their iSport line¸ which begins with the "Immersion" in-ear headphones.
Promised to be the world's best-sounding sport headphone, designed specifically for athletes and exercise enthusiasts, these new 'phones achieve both comfort and passive noise isolation via an array of bundled eartips. A patented, proprietary in-ear/clip combination fits the curve of the inner ear to anchor securely and maximize comfort, positioned so as not to interfere with glasses, goggles or helmets. The iSport headphones also incorporate an adjustable ear pipe on the housing, which can be angled to work with the unique contours of each ear, further enhancing the seal. Build quality is a cut above, most notably a durable, sweatproof, fully washable design. To that end, Monster brought a portable washing machine with them to the CEA Line Shows this week in New York City, demonstrating how successfully waterproof they really are.

iSport Immersion headphones also give us the ControlTalk system that provides music/movie playback control on the Apple iPadTM, iPhone and selected iPods. The integrated, high-grade microphone and answer button allows users to access their music and answer incoming calls without having to touch the device. (Assuming that device software is properly updated, ControlTalk remote and mic functions are supported by fourth- and fifth-generation iPod nano, 120GB/160GB iPod classic, second-gen iPod touch, iPhone 3GS and iPad. The remote is supported by third-generation iPod shuffle. Audio is supported by all iPod/iPhone/iPad models.
The Monster iSport "Immersion" headphones are set to debut next month in our choice of blue or black (more models and colors on the way) with a retail price of $179.
