Logitech doesn't know how to hold back. The company just unleashed a total of seven new products, all under the Ultimate Ears line.
Designed to give music fans what they want wherever they want it, the new Logitech UE line includes earphones, headphones, wireless speakers and one smart radio. The company plans to start shipping all of the new products in September 2012.
The first in that lineup is the Logitech UE Boombox. It's basically a speaker that can go wherever you go -- or it can stay put and play music off your smartphone or tablet, from up to 50 feet away. It can also play music from both, since the Boombox can support up to eight Bluetooth-enabled devices, with up to three connected at the same time. In other words, you can take turns streaming music from your smartphone, your friend's tablet, and so on. When the Logitech UE Boombox launches, it will come packing an MSRP of $249.99.
For something smaller and slightly more portable, there's the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox. Similar to the UE Boombox, this ultra-portable speaker can connect to smartphones and tablets and stream music from up to 50 feet away. However, this model can connect to two mobile devices at once and has a rechargeable battery to deliver up to 10 hours of music or speakerphone features. With metal finishes and a grip-action rubber casing, the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox will be priced at $99.99.
If you're looking for something "smarter," Logitech has the UE Smart Radio. This model works with web radio, online music and music that you're hoarding on your PC or Mac. The device's color screen displays album art, track and station information, as well as saved stations and playlists. When combined with the Logitech UE Smart Radio Controller app for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices, this device can transform your portable into a master music controller. Featuring a rechargeable battery for up to 6 hours of playtime, the Logitech UE Smart Radio is expected to sell for $179.99.
The four remaining products are all part of Logitech UE's headphone lineup. The UE 900 Noise-Isolating Earphones have four-armature speakers and a three-way crossover, as well as five silicon and three Comply Foam tips. This model also has two detachable, braided cables: one with a mic and one without. With ear loops offering a secure, comfortable fit, the UE 900 will feature an MSRP of $399.99.
For the same $399.99 MSRP, the Logitech UE 9000 Headphones cut the wires as well as the distraction. Instead, the UE 9000 connects to devices via Bluetooth. The model includes an optional cable if you want to go wired or run out of power. Featuring a design that folds flat for travel, this model also has active noise-canceling technology, asymmetrical memory foam cushions and an around-the-ear design.
The Logitech UE 6000 Headphones pack in active noise-canceling technology in a design that folds up for travel. Unless you're traveling alone, you may also appreciate that this model also comes with a splitter. Other features include plush memory foam cushions, an around-the-ear design, and an MSRP of $199.99.
Last in the new lineup is the Logitech UE 4000 Headphones. These compact on-ear headphones come with a little travel pouch and an on-cord mic and controls for taking calls, changing tracks and adjusting the volume -- right from the cord. Packing in the plush memory foam cushions and the on-the-ear design, the UE 4000 will have an MRSP of $99.99.
