Most portable devices have a lot of options for movies, music and more. Unfortunately, most don't have such great sound quality. Logitech wants to fix that by adding the Logitech Mini Boombox into its arsenal of accessories.
Using Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), this wireless speaker is designed to work with compatible devices, including smartphones and tablets. So that Netflix-enabled cell phone will finally have some decent audio -- which is loud enough and clear enough to share with others, too.
Use it for movies, music, gaming and even calls. With Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.5), the Mini Boombox doubles as a speakerphone with a built-in mic. Logitech says it works with phone or video calls, alone or in a group.
Promising great sound with enhanced bass, the Logitech Mini Boombox can be used at the office, in the kitchen, in the yard, or even in the car. A backlit control panel makes it easy to operate at night or during the day.
The Logitech Mini Boombox boasts 10 hours of playtime via an internal battery that charges over USB. That should get you through more than a few commutes, calls or movies.
"The Logitech Mini Boombox rises to the occasion to bring an immersive sound experience wherever you go," said Azmat Ali, Logitech's VP of tablets and mobile. "Now that mobile devices also act as movie theaters, concert stages, game consoles, and conference centers, people want sound quality to match and the Logitech Mini Boombox delivers."
Logitech plans to start shipping the Mini Boombox sometime this month. The product is currently available for pre-order, with an MSRP of $99.99.
