If mobility is the driving factor of your next laptop or tablet choice, the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga just may be your dream product. The only problem is that the device can't make up its mind just as to what it is. Instead, Lenovo created a new category: the multi-mode notebook.
The multi-mode notebook has a flip and fold design, where the screen can rotate 360 degrees to fold and cover the keyboard for a pure tablet experience. The IdeaPad Yoga has a 13.3-inch multi-touch screen and will run on the Windows 8 operating system. The proposed configuration is 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Lenovo says that the multi-mode notebook will be powered by an Intel Core Processor chip, and will support 8 hours of battery life.
The design on the IdeaPad Yoga is more in line with an ultrabook. It measures just over half an inch (16.9mm) and weighs 3.1 pounds. It features a 1600 × 900 resolution along with 10-point capacitive touch capabilities, making this an ultra good option for anyone wanting the functionality of a PC and tablet in one very slim package.
