LCD, Plasma TV Deals: Save up to 48 Percent on Select Panasonic HDTVs 22 to 65 inches

By Rachel Cericola

Even if you're really extra good, you don't always get what you want for Christmas. Thankfully, there are plenty of after-Christmas sales, allowing you to scarf up all of those items that were missing under the tree. If you saved a little (or got a little) money over Christmas, Amazon has an excellent way to spend it, with a killer sale on Panasonic HDTVs.

From now through February 26, 2011, Amazon is offering 18 different Panasonic HDTVs at discounted prices. Want 3D? A smaller set for the kitchen or bedroom? Something that ties in your entire iPod library? This sale should have something for you. Take a peek at every model that's on sale:

You can fill at least two of the above needs with Panasonic's 22-inch TC-L22X2 LCD. This set is perfect for the smaller areas of your home. However, it certainly isn't short on features, offering a 720p image, a Game Mode, and VIERA Link and VIERA Image Viewer options. The real hook though is that this set comes with a Universal Dock for iPod, allowing viewers to use the included remote to control and play back music and video from an iPod, right on the VIERA HDTV screen. If you're in need of a step up in size and picture quality, the 32-inch TC-L32U22 LCD HDTV is being offered for 30 percent off its list price. This set bumps the image up to 1080p and adds in Panasonic's latest IPS LCD panel, which promises the best image from any angle. Aside from VIERA Link and VIERA Image Viewer, this model also offers three HDMI ports. Find out more on the TC-L32U22's product page:

Of course, if you want to go a little (or a lot) bigger, Amazon has plenty of larger models on sale. Let's start at the top, with Panasonic's TC-P65S2 Plasma, which offers 65 inches of 1080p plasma. This panel has NeoPDP technologies, as well as the 600Hz Sub-field Drive, a Game Mode, VIERA Link and VIERA Image Viewer. Of course, a big HDTV like this doesn't want to stand alone; it has three HDMI inputs, options for two component and two composite devices, and one digital audio output. Find out more on Amazon:

For those waiting to take advantage of newer technologies, such as streaming media and 3D TV, Amazon is slashing a whopping 48 percent off Panasonic's 42-inch TC-P42GT25 3D Plasma. You will need to add in Panasonic's active-shutter 3D glasses to get the 3D (and maybe even Panasonic's DMP-BDT100 Blu-ray 3D Player). However, this is a nice 2D TV, with a 1080p image, THX certification, and Infinite Black Panel Pro technology.

Aside from VIERA Link and VIERA Image Viewer, this one also adds in VIERA Cast. That service allows viewers instant access to services such as Netflix, YouTube, and Pandora. You can even do giant Skype calls, by adding in the TY-CC10 Skype camera. Find out more about this set's features here:

It's important to note that Amazon is offering free shipping on all of these HDTVs. However, these prices are only good through February 26, 2011, or whenever the retailer runs out of stock. If you are worried about impulse purchases, Amazon is offering free returns on all of these TVs.

To take advantage of these offers, as well as the sale prices, make sure you buy directly from Amazon. The retailer's third-party merchants do not qualify for these sale prices. That said, if you see one of them offering one of these HDTVs for less, all of the sets do fall under Amazon's TV Low Price Guarantee. That means, if you can find it cheaper elsewhere or on Amazon within 14 days of the ship date, Amazon will refund you the difference. Have fun shopping!
