Roku keeps racking up partners for its line of streaming set-tops. Today, the company announced plans to offer a Hulu Plus channel on all existing Roku players.
Just last week, the company laid out its new line of high-def boxes. Starting at $59.99, the Roku HD can stream 720p. The $79.99 Roku XD box kicks it up to 1080p, while offering Wireless-N support. The Roku XDS is at the top of the line, adding in dual-band Wireless-N, as well as a component video output, optical audio output, and a USB port -- all for $99.99.
Hulu Plus is the latest addition to Roku's content lineup, which also includes MLB.TV, Netflix, Pandora, MP3tunes, MOG, RadioTime, Flickr, Facebook, and more.
Hulu Plus allows viewers to stream a slew of TV shows. Current hits include Modern Family, 30 Rock, Glee, Family Guy and Grey's Anatomy. Of course, you can also find classic shows such as The X-Files, Ally McBeal, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Arrested Development, and much more.
"We are excited to bring Hulu Plus to all Roku users," said Pete Distad, Hulu's VP of content distribution. "With Hulu Plus on Roku, TV fans will have an easy way to stream to their TVs the shows they love, whenever they want."
The Hulu Plus channel will be available on all Roku players this fall. However, to access it, you will need a Hulu Plus subscription, which runs $9.99 per month.
