Home Theater Speaker/Receiver Bundle Deals: Denon, Marantz, MartinLogan and More on Sale

By Rachel Cericola

We know you love your TV. However, that doesn't mean that you have to be subjected to its speakers. If that's how you're listening to TV, we have the perfect New Year's resolution. That's right; it's never too late to start building a good audio setup.

To make the process easier (and cheaper!), Amazon is putting together nine perfect pairs of A/V components. One of the things that makes them perfect is the price. If you order a pair (or two) from now through February 28, 2011, you will get one of the items in that group for free. Even better, they are offering shipping on all of the items listed. Take a peek at all nine A/V pairings on Amazon's main deal page:

For a limited time, buy Marantz's SR7005 receiver, and you'll get Mirage's MX 5.1 speaker package for free.

If you're starting out with a smaller budget, you can score a full speaker package for the low price of $549. That cost will get you the Klipsch Quintet and Pinnacle's Subsonix 10-200 subwoofer. This $549 bundle provides an instant 5.1 speaker setup. The Klipsch Quintet has four speakers, which crank 50 watts (200 watts peak). The included center channel can do 75 watts (300 watts peak). All of the speakers feature XT MicroTractrix Horn technology, a frequency response of 120Hz-23 kHz, a satin black finish and black cloth grilles. For bass, Pinnacle's Subsonix is a 10-inch, 200-watt front-firing powered subwoofer. Check out both products on Amazon's bundle page:

Those in need of a little audio backbone can opt for Amazon's Marantz/Mirage package deal. This offers Mirage's MX 5.1-channel speaker package, along with the Marantz SR7005 receiver for just $1599. That's like getting five speakers and a subwoofer, all for free. The speakers are pretty cool, too, featuring a funky design and a maximum power handling of 100 watts each. The subwoofer adds in an 800-watt amplifier, dual 6.5-inch black anodized aluminum passive radiators and a 6.5-inch black anodized aluminum cone woofer. All six pieces would be a nice complement to the receiver, which has six 3D-ready HDMI inputs, two HDMI outputs, and a USB port, as well as networking features, including newly announced AirPlay compatibility. Check out both products here:

Want more MartinLogan for your money? Amazon has a great package for all of you high-end audiophiles on a budget. Buy the Motion 262 5-Channel Speaker Set for just $899, and you'll get the Dynamo500 subwoofer for free. Each of the speakers feature MartinLogan's special Folded Motion Tweeter, while the 10-inch sub adds in 120-watt RMS (360 watts peak) of sound. Our own Dennis Burger recently called the Motion set a group of "gorgeous little overachievers." He then went on to say, "This is what hi-fi on the cheap should sound like." Read his full review of the MartinLogan Motion Series or check it out alongside the Dynamo500 on Amazon's bundle page:

For more deals, check out Amazon's main audio deals page. Just make sure that you are buying these bundles directly from Amazon, and not any of its third-party merchants. Amazon is the one offering the discounts, as well as the free shipping. To get the discount, you will need to add both items into your shopping cart. The savings will then be reflected right before you check out (see below for an example). The special prices are only being offered on Amazon's set bundles through February 28, 2011 -- or whenever the retailer runs out of stock!
