If this hotel is a-rockin', it must be because the New York Audio Show is in town. More than 80 companies will converge upon Manhattan next week for the annual event, which runs between April 12-14, 2013.
This year's event will be held at the NY Palace Hotel and will include a ton of interesting products and presentations. Some of the companies to expect to see at the show include Audio Doctor, Bowers & Wilkins, Bryston, Meridian, OPPO, Sennheiser, Sony, and countless others.
There will also be a lot of interesting attractions this year, including the premiere of the official 2013 Record Store Day film, Last Shop Standing. Singer-songwriter Lori Lieberman will also be at the show, to perform songs from her upcoming CD, Bricks Against The Glass.
Show founder Colleen Murphy will also be on-hand to present "Classic Album Sundays." On Friday (not Sunday), there will be two awesome listening sessions that you won't want to miss. From 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., attendees can check out David Bowie's Hunky Dory, or you can catch Talking Heads' Remain in Light from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Earlier this year, we mentioned that recording engineers Darcy Proper and Jim Anderson will available to discuss the record mastering process and present a live demo. That's just one of the many events you'll get to check out -- and yes, the event is open to the public!
For a full listing of exhibitors, events and live performances, check out the New York Audio Show's website. While you're there, you can also score some tickets, which start at $18 for a one-day pass.
