Besides being a wonderful HDTV, the TC-P55ST30 is also a 3D TV. Panasonic has packed active 3D technology into this set, which means that when it's in 3D mode, you can witness 1080p images to each eye. Of course, to do that, you're going to need compatible 3D glasses -- and a Blu-ray 3D player probably wouldn't hurt, either.
If you're just interested in 2D for now, the TC-P55ST30 can handle those goodies as well.
