Denon is ready to rock the receiver market, announcing four new models for 2012. The company says that the new 7.1-channel AVR-1913 and the 5.1-channel AVR-1713, AVR-1613 and AVR-1513 are all available now.
The top three models will include support for Apple's AirPlay technology, so users can easily stream music from a Mac, PC or any iOS device, right to the receiver. That means you'll be able to enjoy everything iTunes has to offer, as well as services like Pandora and Spotify, on that larger audio setup.
If that's not enough, those top three models also have DLNA 1.5 support, as well as front-panel HDMI and USB ports, which can easily add in more content.
All of the receivers have a short signal path circuit design to optimize audio and reduce signal degradation. Everything above the AVR-1513 includes an on-screen setup, Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Audyssey DynamicEQ. The AVR-1613 and AVR-1913 add in Audyssey MultEQ, with the AVR-1713 packing in MultEQXT.
The 7.1-Channel AVR-1913 promises 90 watts per channel, six HDMI inputs, analog-to-HDMI conversion, 1080p upscaling, and the option to put audio in a second zone. This top-of-the line model is available now with an MSRP of $579.99.
At the top of the 5.1 models is the AVR-1713. This offers 80 watts per channel, six HDMI inputs, Audyssey MultEQ XT, and a Zone 2 preout, all for $449.99. For $399.99, the AVR-1613 drops the output to 75 watts per channel, with five HDMI inputs. This one also has Audyssey MultEQ, the setup assistant, AirPlay and SiriusXM support, and more.
For those looking for a starter model, Denon is packing 75 watts per channel into the AVR-1513 receiver. At $249.99, this bargain model has four HDMI inputs, 3D pass-through, GUI with overlay, and discrete amplification.
