The bass is much bigger than you'd expect from a speaker of this size courtesy of a 2-way design with passive bass radiators enhanced by Audyssey's BassXT technology. As for volume, Audyssey says they can reach peaks of 106 dB with minimal distortion, which is plenty of sound for a medium-sized room. And if you prefer things a little softer, a large knob on one of the speakers offers convenient control of system volume.
