Leading the pack at this year's line-up of HDTVs at the Consumer Electronic Show from Westinghouse was its new flagship 60-inch LED display (LD-6080Z), which offers full HD 1080p resolution with a 4 ms response time and 120 Hz refresh rate. The set further offers 3D noise reduction and inverse 3:2 pull down, along with four HDMI ports. The set will be available Q2 for $1,499.99.
Westinghouse also introduces its new 46-inch LED LCD HDTV (LD-4655VX). The full HD, 1080p 120 Hz LED set features Yamaha audio. This model also features a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3D noise reduction as well as inverse 3:2 pulldown. The set has a thin form factor of just 1.7-inches for the screen and just over 2-inches for the high-gloss black bezel. The set meets Energy Star and Federal energy efficiency standards, and consumes just 80 watts of power while being used, and only 1 watt in standby mode. The LD-4655VX will be available at retail later this month ($899 MSRP). The connected version of this model, the WC-4605 adds app connectivity with Netflix and Vudu. Pricing and availability to be announced.
The company also showed off its new 42-inch LD-4280 and 40-inch LD-4080 models, which will be available in February and March respectively ($629.99 and $599.99). Both sets utilize LED systems for a vivid picture and feature 120 Hz refresh rates.
Westinghouse also introduced three new CCFL-backlit LCD HDTVs, including the 60-inch VR-6025Z and 55-inch VR-5585DFZ, as well as the 40-inch VR-4085DF. The 60-inch and 55-inch models offer 120 Hz refresh rates along with MEMC (motion estimation/motion compression), while all three models include three HDMI inputs, two component video inputs and analog A/V connections. The 40-inch and 55-inch models will be available at retail this month, and the 60-inch model will arrive in March.
