In addition to a plethora of home networking devices, Netgear is showing its latest Network Attached Storage (NAS) device at this year's CES. Dubbed the Stora, this flexible internet-capable device offers access to all of your music, movies, and photos from anywhere in the world. Assuming, that is, you can access the interwebs. And yes, the iPhone counts.
Plug your camera into your laptop from anywhere in the world, and your photos are instantly zipped back home and stored on the secure one-terabyte RAID capable hard drive. Photos albums can also be automatically shared to Facebook and Flickr. Or you can share photos directly with social-networking-shy friends and family via custom URLs.
Stora also boasts an integrated iTunes server, so you can stream your music library on the go.
It almost seems like a bonus that Stora is a fully DLNA-compliant device capable of streaming all of that music and video around the house to gaming consoles, digital photo frames, and DLNA equipped TVs.
Stora is available now at Amazon for significantly less than its $249.99 retail price. The company also announced that a two-terabyte version is in the pipes for release later this year.
