With NVIDIA inside a tablet, you can expect serious video and gaming performance. At CES this week, Asus introduced the Asus MeMO 370T tablet, which is powered by the graphics chip maker's Tegra 3 chip.
The 7-inch tablet will run the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and be the first official tablet on the new Android OS. Other features include 1GB RAM and a minimum 16GB storage, as well as the aforementioned Tegra 3, which is NVIDIA's new quad-core chip. Asus did not reveal details on the processor speed.
The MeMO 370T also has a 1280 x 800 resolution and in-plane switching (IPS) technology, a technology that allows for a wider viewing angle. In addition to a Micro-USB port and microSD card reader, the tablet has a Micro-HDMI port to hook up video devices. Another enhanced feature is an 8-megapixel camera, which adds a little oomph to the average tablet camera.
Asus will likely release the MeMO 370T in the second quarter of this year. While the specs may suggest a high price tag, Asus plans to put this one out there for around $250. In addition to the MeMO 370T, Asus showed off its Pad phone, which won a Best of Innovation Award at this week's Consumer Electronics Show.
