Aperion Audio Adds Budget Home Theater Speakers and Subwoofer: 5.1 for $999

By Rachel Cericola

Need to add some boom to your room? Aperion Audio, the online speaker company, just announced the Bravus 8A, the company's latest and most affordable addition to its subwoofer line. The powered 8-inch model is available on its own for an affordable $319 or as part of a budget home theater package for just $999.

The latest member of the Bravus "D" series, the 8A features an 8-inch high-excursion custom aluminum driver, a 100-watt class A/B amplifier, and a 40-160Hz customizable crossover.

In case you feel like sprucing up the entire collection, Aperion is offering the 8A as part of a full 5.1 set, also known as the Aperion Intimus 4B Harmony SA System . For a wallet-friendly price of $999, the new home theater system includes the Bravus 8A subwoofer, four compact (8.75 x 5.33 x 5.5 inches each) Intimus 4B satellite speakers, and the Intimus 4C center-channel speaker.

Of course, if you find you need to fill a larger room or you just feel like cranking up even more sound, there are plenty of configuration options. The system and sub are also available in 6.1 and 7.1-channel setups, or you can add additional subwoofers to extend your bass output even further, and to even out that low end response all over your room.  Do I hear 7.4 anyone?

Each of the speakers is available in either real cherry wood or high gloss piano black lacquer. Aperion Audio offers all of its products direct to the consumer in order to deliver the highest quality sound at the lowest possible price.

All prices also include free shipping -- even free return shipping should you decide you actually can live without all this high quality surround sound (betcha can't!).
