One of the models on sale is the extremely popular Samsung UN55D8000 55-inch 1080p 3D LED. This HDTV typically retails for $3599.99, but Amazon has it available for just $1999.98. Planning to pair the TV with a Samsung Blu-ray 3D player? Buy it now, as well as the Samsung Megamind 3D Starter Kit, and Amazon will credit you an additional $140.
If you aren't ready to buy the whole package just yet, this HDTV offers a 3D experience right out of the box. It comes packaged with two pairs of 3D glasses and has Smart TV features to get you started. The latter allows you to access a slew of on-screen features, including Netflix, VUDU, YouTube and more, web browsing, and even Samsung's own Explore 3D app. Other features include a full 1080p HD image, Micro Dimming Plus technology, built-in Wi-Fi, and four HDMI inputs. More of a plasma person? This sale has plenty of options. Consider going big with Panasonic's 65-inch VIERA TC-P65ST30 3D Plasma. Amazon is knocking more than $1200 off this set's usual $3299.95 price tag. The new price is $2049.98 shipped. This set features a full HD 3D (or 2D) experience, the Infinite Black 2 Panel, 600Hz technology, and Panasonic's own 3D Image Viewer, which allows you to view 3D photos and movies from your 3D-capable camera or camcorder. Other features include DLNA support, three HDMI inputs, and two USB ports. (It typically sells for $2999.99.) For that sale price, you get the full 1080p HD image, the 3D effects, and even a 2D-to-3D conversion feature, which adds a little 3D to your regular 2D viewing experience. Other perks include the Smart TV platform mentioned above, 600Hz subfield motion technology, four HDMI inputs, and Samsung's brushed metal bezel.
