As we noted earlier this morning, the price of 3D TV is slowly coming down. That's a good thing. It's even better when you get a nice freebie thrown in with that low purchase price. Amazon is hoping to entice you with both on its latest 3D TV deal.
The retailer just announced deals on Samsung's entry-level 1080p 3D plasmas. Buy one of the two select models, and you will score a free 3D Starter Kit, complete with 3D Glasses and a Blu-ray 3D movie. Of course, they are also knocking a few bucks off the purchase price of the 3D TV. Take a peek at the deal here:
The PN50C680 is an insanely good deal, at $1299. As part of the 680 Series, this 50-incher boasts a 1080p image, a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and Samsung's Touch of Color bezel in blue. Other features include Wi-Fi support, AllShare and Anynet+, a designated Game Mode, and four HDMI ports.
Another nifty feature is Internet@TV, which is Samsung's on-demand, on-screen content service. This allows you to tap into services such as Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, and more -- right from your remote. Find out more about the model here:
The other 3D HDTV being offered in this deal has all of the same specs, since it's also part of the 680 Series. The big difference here is that the PN58C680 is a 58-incher, with a higher price (naturally). Take a peek at this one here:
Both include free shipping as well as a free Samsung 3D Starter Kit. The kit includes two pairs of 3D glasses to get you watching the third dimension in a matter of minutes. There's also a Blu-ray 3D copy of Monsters vs. Aliens, so you also have something to watch.
Of course, to watch that movie, you will need a Blu-ray 3D player, which is not part of either package. A nice addition would be the BD-C5900, which just went on sale for a cool $120. The player offers Blu-ray playback in both 2D and 3D. It also offers access to Samsung's Internet@TV content. Other features include AllShare and wireless support (via an add-on adapter). Take a look:
If you want that price on the Blu-ray 3D player, you will need to make sure to order through E & B Electronics, which is one of Amazon's third-party merchants. The TV deal, however, needs to be ordered directly from Amazon -- and fast! The Samsung 3D TV deal ends at 11:59 p.m. (PST) on October 30, 2010, or when they run out of stock.
